4.2 Cloud Storage

If you create an account and log in:

  • Your name interaction data (viewed/liked status) is stored on Appwrite's cloud servers
  • This allows you to access your preferences across multiple devices
  • Data is transmitted to Appwrite's servers using HTTPS/TLS encryption (standard for web communications)

Note: Data stored on Appwrite's servers is subject to Appwrite's security practices. While Appwrite offers encryption at rest as an optional feature, we cannot guarantee that all data stored on their servers is encrypted at rest unless explicitly configured. For more information about Appwrite's security practices, please refer to their privacy policy and security documentation.

4.3 Partner Data Sharing

When you connect with a partner:

  • Your liked names are shared with your connected partner to enable mutual likes functionality
  • Your partner can see which names you have both liked
  • You can disconnect from your partner at any time, which will stop sharing your liked names

4.4 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Secure authentication through Appwrite
  • Access controls

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your use of the App (Nomsy) is at your own risk.
